Origins
By this I mean the basic question asked by every human at some time in their life.
How did we get here? Where did we come from? How did it all start?
Now there are those who say ’science’ has all the answers and in fact it has become popular to assume that what some scientists say is therefore absolute truth, when in fact it is only an opinion.
Frequently true science has the uncanny ‘gift’ of discovering new truths that call into question or demolish previously-held opinions.
Unfortunately some proponents of scientific ‘reasoning’ have become unable to accept these discoveries and either go into denial or cover-up to avoid having to face the inconvenient facts.
eg: Popular scientific opinion once taught the earth was flat, however further observation found that the earth was a sphere ‘hanging’ in space – a fact plainly expressed in the Bible a thousand or more years prior. (Job 26:7 “He stretches out the north over empty space and hangs the earth on nothing”)
In this section I will comment on scientific discoveries that demand a re-think of the popular but unscientific evolutionary theory about origins.

- Scientists unveil ‘Missing Link’ in EvolutionIs this ‘The Missing Link’ in Darwin’s theory of evolution? — in fact the link is very tenuous and ONE link is meaningless — millions are required.
- Who wants a ‘synthetic life’?This ‘messing about’ with bacteria by man seem to me to be potentially disastrous.

Darwin B-Day Poll: Minority of Americans Believe in Evolution – February 12, 2009
A new poll released just in time for Charles Darwin’s 200th birthday found that only 39 percent of Americans say they “believe in the theory of evolution,” and just 24 percent of those who attend church weekly believe in that explanation for the development of life on Earth. The Gallup survey, released Wednesday, found a quarter of those polled do not believe in evolution, and 36 percent said they don’t have an opinion either way. Fox News
Materialism And Darwin Day – February 12, 2009
According to many of his modern followers, Darwin is the world’s greatest scientist, and his theory is the cornerstone of modern biology – if not the whole of modern science. As the 200th anniversary of Darwin’s birth passes, an international campaign is under way to declare February 12th ‘Darwin Day.’ Yet, Darwin did not propose a hypothesis that was then confirmed by evidence – as truly great scientists have done. Instead, like Marx and Freud, Darwin provided what evolutionary biologist Douglas Futuyma has called “a crucial plank to the platform of mechanism and materialism” that now dominates Western thought. I am physician who is Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Disaster Medicine. I have a B.S. in Zoology and I have completed the course work for a Masters degree in Microbiology. For thirty of those years I was an ardent supporter of Darwinian ideas. I now, however, find the data supporting this theory scientifically untenable. Both books show how the incredible complexity of the human body and all other living beings cannot have come about through evolution.
